At JB General Contracting, we are the fast growing company that has kept pace with the evolving needs of our customers in this region. Thanks to Joe Battaglia and his father John, their leadership has created a one-stop community of goods and services that has changed the face of general contracting forever.
JB is responsible for the construction of some of the most recognizable commercial buildings in this area, yet we are prolific single, new home planners and builders as well. We understand all platforms of construction, allowing us to take on projects ranging from the simple to the complex.
Our crews and equipment are available for concrete pouring, heavy machinery, tool rental, large roll-off containers, dumpsters, snow removal, violations removal, garbage removal, trucking & hauling, and demolition. We even have our own retail outlet for building supplies and a fully stocked masonry supply yard featuring Cambridge (authorized installer) and Nicolock Pavingstones.

What sizes of roll-off dumpsters do you offer?+
10, 15, 20, and 30 yard containers for garbage, demolition, dirt, rock, brick and concrete.
Do you pull DOT permits to place dumpsters in the street?+
Yes. We handle DOT street placement permits — please give us at least one day's notice ($100).
Is there a weight limit on the dumpster?+
No weight limit on rock, dirt, concrete or bricks. Garbage/demo limits: 10yd/2T, 15yd/3T, 20yd/4T, 30yd/6T. Overages billed.
How long can I keep the dumpster?+
Two weeks standard. Call for earlier pickup — price stays the same.
Do you deliver to the Bronx?+
Yes. Delivery to the Bronx is an additional $100 for tolls.
Are you licensed and insured?+
Fully licensed and insured, with DOT permits for specialized work. Serving NYC since 1973.
What areas do you serve?+
All five boroughs of NYC — Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, Staten Island — plus Nassau County / Long Island.
